NIARA members and friends enjoyed a delicious lunch in honor of the association’s highly successful 80th Anniversary year, 2019. President John Chalmers opened the event with introductions. Afterwards, a few moments of silence allowed everyone to reflect privately and give thanks.
There will be an ARES meeting on Wednesday November 6th. Start time will be 6:30 PM and is being held at the Red Room in the basement of the DeKalb County Annex Building (215 E. 9th St., Auburn, enter at the 10th St. entrance). Anyone is welcome to attend and there will be registration forms for anyone who wants to be involved with ARES.
DeKalb County Director of Homeland Security Meek will talk about what Homeland Security does in our County, what we have currently going on, and what we are planning in the future. Following Director Meek will be Ryan Smith (K9RYN) with a presentation on using digital modes for Emcomm.

The July 2019 tech night was held on July 23, 2019. There were fourteen people in attendance. Two great presentations were given. First Jack W9OWO talked about W9OU Net Control procedures. Then Jeff went over how to handle NTS traffic.
The first annual Auburn Indiana Hamfest was held on July 20, 2019 from 9am to 2pm. Below are photographs taken during the event. We are looking forward to seeing you again next year.
